Dearest beloved beaded cardigan, I long for you. I get sad and nostalgic just thinking of you glitzy warmth. Oh how I wish to wear you in all your shining glory. Love Sarie.

DOn't you just hate to lose that special, most favourite item of clothing. That thing that goes with everything, that fail-safe garment. The thing that is you and makes you glow and is actually like a second skin. I am forever losing beloved items of clothing. Oddly enough there is a high correlation of being slightly tipsy and losing garments of clothing.
I have had two vintage beaded cardigans, the first was a beaut. I had an evil step mother, she was quite wicked! And she shrunk it! Tiny baby doll cardy that one couldn't even fit a finger in, let alone an arm! With a gleam of satisfaction she handed over the cardy to me.
The second dear beaded cardy, may it rest in peace, was left in a taxi after a quite ferocious night out on the town. Discarded and never to be seen again.
I'm not quite sure why I have such a fond attachment to these items of clothing. It must be all the memories attached to them, the cozyness they give and the prettyness of them. I do often think about them, and long for them. Making up the perfect perfect outfit with them having centre stage.
SO dear readers, if you see one.. Pass it into my grubby outstretched paws. Haha! Seriously though if you come across one online, be a doll and pass it on to me.

A little note on my absence: I have been meaning to update, and have put it off. I really want to completely overhaul this site and make it new and better and well more aesthetically pleasing. Please any suggestions etc more than welcome!

Its been a while hasn't it? I've packed up my job (well they made us redundant). I've been wondering around trying to get things on my massive list done. My 2 sisters have visited and I have also been very lazy.

well hallo there!

Its been a rather long time since I last updated this, I have negleted it in favour of lovely-livejournal.
However I shall update this more as I'm slowely waking up a little, and realising what I love.



Lately my life has been about;
Family, driving in cars, our new car, adventures, old things, letters, love and trying to keep my life a little interesting, trying to find those hidden treasures and non boring things from all the murky puddle water that is work and life.

time whizz

Time is slipping through my fingers again, what with Christmas, NewYear and my birthday all out of the way, including a flying visit to England.

This time of year is all about new starts, not just because of the obvious newyear but because I start a new age 10 days into the year.
So naturally this gives me a little bit of time to mull over what I want and how I want to be in this newyear. Time to snip those dreadfull patterns that occur everyday. Time to start something afresh and new.
So here is my list of things I want/resolutions:
Draw everyday
Make more things
Set up a shop
Write more letters
Meet more people who can help me with the things I want
Do yoga
Go on adventures alone
Write in my paper journal
Eat better
Speak better spanish.

I also want to visit England more to see loved ones, I also need a bigger place and I want a studio.

christmas bluez;

Christmas is but a few days away. My grandad died early on tuesday morning, 5.15. I won't be in england untill after christmas, they are there and I am here.

They played in Barcelona the other night, to a very noisy crowd! They were magical, angelic and amazing. I stood with my fingers holding my throat and heart with a wonderfull smile on my face, completly happy and amazed. Twinkly beeping celestrial sounds, funny little instruments, twidly knobs filling the room with a journey to childhood, far away cold lands, twirly dresses and dancing feet.

The only thing that distracted me, and its not the first time I've noticed this at a concert in BCN, is that the crowd were so noisy during and inbetween songs, ALthough they were politly asked to keep it down by the band and notices. Its bloody rude and disrespectfull. Why pay 20€ to go and have a chat and oh yeah theres a band playing in the background. Múm were that good though that I found myself lost in the musique and not cross.

The nights are rather dark and cold, everything blanketed in a rich dark blue.

I feel food plays an important part in our culture, our day to day routines and who we are and how we live our lives.


I picked apples, found chesnuts and bought bread of an old bent over woman from a tiny village.

Well lets get started here. I am rather frustrated with myself at the moment, Im feeling quite restless because of it. This is because it has been almost a year since I have really had that magical, excitable fluttery inspiration feeling. Yes thats right, I haven't created anything in over a year really. I have tried to knit, croche, draw, keep a journal, sketchbook etc.

I have created this craft/art/fashion/maker/inspiration blog to move me along a little bit.

So I am going to post some pictures that I love, that move and inspire me and just generally make me feel good and happy that people view the world in such a sweet great way.

This is from a small little shop in Barcelona that I am yet to visit. I love the idea of little messages left around the city, things not noticable straight away, traditional process kept alive and subliminal good messages in this way.



Simple yet lovely. I like home still life set ups, normality pictured and captured. I like the traditional sense of this.

Im from the UK, the land of milk and honey, patchwork isle etc. I really crave it at the moment (I am living in Barcelona). Being away from home makes me look at it fondly with nostalgic eyes. I love the institions of england, I love the funny quirky strange culture, I love the idea of traditions and memories, old stories and old images. Historic memeries, cliches of home, Mundane life and Jolly old Britania.
I love this image and feel it shows good old england in a fanstatic way, Institutions and unchangable icons, sillyness, dull mundaness.
