The only thing I make is:

All I have been doing lately is cooking and baking. Pictured above is oatmeal cookies and a roasted veg salad. YUM, I do like how my creative efforts are making me rounder at the edges. To the gym I go!

Its been a while hasn't it? I've packed up my job (well they made us redundant). I've been wondering around trying to get things on my massive list done. My 2 sisters have visited and I have also been very lazy.

(not so) snowy day!

Remember last monday? Thats right it was snow day. Not for me however, Im here in not so sunny rainy Barcelona. We don't get snow here. I was in a jealous rage seeing everyone upload photos to their flickrs and update their facebook status's. How dare they have a day off? The best snow England's had in 18 years, paah! I really miss that bitter chill, the beautiful white greens/parks/gardens. I miss naughtyness and children and adults alike cheerfull and playing. I miss breathing and seeing your breath.
I developed this old film the other day and was pleasently taken back to a nice snowy winter a few years back. I love how snow photographs, beautiful milky grey skies, white white snow.

So here's to playing and being homesick about snow and winter

I love this time of year, especially here in BCN. Its all crisp and lovely and the light is so beautiful. I have been taking my self on little adventures around the city. I will document them one day. Im feeling pretty tired at the moment, due to illness. I have been at home sewing, making the most of not have any money due to studying and all. I have been enjoying getting back to it!

one pound please

As I said in a previous post I recently visited my home land. It was wondefully wet and cold and just right. Just what I needed, a break from the relentless spanish sun (no really!)
My sisters, mother and I went for a little kent-country side tour. On our way we stopped off at this organic farm. I fell in love with everything there. It was perfectly rustic and great. Pretty things for the house that I wanted, except they wouldn't fit in the damn suitcase! I really want to go back for more of their amazing ploughmans lunches and cream teas. I wish I could be a lady of leasure and live of ploughmans and cream teas from funny organic farms. Alas Im not :(

good morning, morning!

Im sat here drinking my mid moring coffee, enjoying some time alone and actually enjoying time. I've not been feeling well at the moment due to an on-going lon term sickness. I feel quite good at taking some time off to rest and things.




These photo's are part of the series of photos I took whilst back home. It was lovely to go back, my first week back in the UK was spent visiting various family members in different parts of the UK. My older sister, Victoria, lives in Canterbury. Me and my little sister, Abigail, went and visited her for a few days. We then met up with my mama and Andy (her partner/my stepdad-sort of) on a rainy sunday and toured the surrounding coastal areas of Canterbury. I loved it, visiting seaside towns is one of my favourite things ever! We had a fish and chip supper on a cliff over looking the murky waters that is the British sea.
These particular photos were taken in this amazing organic farm, I can't remember the name of it. There were hairy pigs, turkeys, little garden sheds, greenhouse cafes and a shop to die for. The shop (as pictured) had amazing food and jarred goods (yum local jam and chutneys!). It was all beautiful and rusticy and nice. Hmmf baggage weight allowance is a terrible thing and having no pennies is also not too good either. I had a lovely trip back and I shall update more about it. Still waiting to have enough money to get prints developed.
Oh and I think I might sell some of my prints too. If your interested just let me know!

well hallo there!

Its been a rather long time since I last updated this, I have negleted it in favour of lovely-livejournal.
However I shall update this more as I'm slowely waking up a little, and realising what I love.



Lately my life has been about;
Family, driving in cars, our new car, adventures, old things, letters, love and trying to keep my life a little interesting, trying to find those hidden treasures and non boring things from all the murky puddle water that is work and life.

time whizz

Time is slipping through my fingers again, what with Christmas, NewYear and my birthday all out of the way, including a flying visit to England.

This time of year is all about new starts, not just because of the obvious newyear but because I start a new age 10 days into the year.
So naturally this gives me a little bit of time to mull over what I want and how I want to be in this newyear. Time to snip those dreadfull patterns that occur everyday. Time to start something afresh and new.
So here is my list of things I want/resolutions:
Draw everyday
Make more things
Set up a shop
Write more letters
Meet more people who can help me with the things I want
Do yoga
Go on adventures alone
Write in my paper journal
Eat better
Speak better spanish.

I also want to visit England more to see loved ones, I also need a bigger place and I want a studio.

christmas bluez;

Christmas is but a few days away. My grandad died early on tuesday morning, 5.15. I won't be in england untill after christmas, they are there and I am here.

The nights are rather dark and cold, everything blanketed in a rich dark blue.

I feel food plays an important part in our culture, our day to day routines and who we are and how we live our lives.


I picked apples, found chesnuts and bought bread of an old bent over woman from a tiny village.

Well lets get started here. I am rather frustrated with myself at the moment, Im feeling quite restless because of it. This is because it has been almost a year since I have really had that magical, excitable fluttery inspiration feeling. Yes thats right, I haven't created anything in over a year really. I have tried to knit, croche, draw, keep a journal, sketchbook etc.

I have created this craft/art/fashion/maker/inspiration blog to move me along a little bit.

So I am going to post some pictures that I love, that move and inspire me and just generally make me feel good and happy that people view the world in such a sweet great way.

This is from a small little shop in Barcelona that I am yet to visit. I love the idea of little messages left around the city, things not noticable straight away, traditional process kept alive and subliminal good messages in this way.



Simple yet lovely. I like home still life set ups, normality pictured and captured. I like the traditional sense of this.

Im from the UK, the land of milk and honey, patchwork isle etc. I really crave it at the moment (I am living in Barcelona). Being away from home makes me look at it fondly with nostalgic eyes. I love the institions of england, I love the funny quirky strange culture, I love the idea of traditions and memories, old stories and old images. Historic memeries, cliches of home, Mundane life and Jolly old Britania.
I love this image and feel it shows good old england in a fanstatic way, Institutions and unchangable icons, sillyness, dull mundaness.
